MONBUKAGAKUSHO (MEXT) Scholarship for Kosovo Undergraduate Students

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, Sports and Technology (MEXT) of Japan is offering scholarships to students who wish to study at a Japanese university as undergraduate students.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Nationality: Kosovo
  2. Age: Born on or after April 2, 2001
  3. Academic background: Applicants who have completed 12 years of schooling in countries other than Japan.
  4. Japanese Language: Applicants must be willing to learn Japanese

APPLICATION DOCUMENTS:
All necessary application documents must be submitted in English or together with an official English translation.
Remarks:
  •  (2) “Placement Preference Application” and “(7) Medical certificate”must be submitted after the first screening.
  • In case you cannot hand over the original documents such as “(2) Academic transcripts for all school years of school/university attended” and ”(3) Certificate(s) of graduation of school/university attended”, please submit a copy with the school’s / university’s stamp, which can be considered as the original one.
  • Application Form Page 1 Point 7.(3): Please fill in Embassy of Japan in Kosovo for applying for the Visa.
  • Please note: submitted documents cannot be returned.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  9 June, 2025

SCHEDULE:
Schedule: Selected candidates will receive a letter of invitation to a language test (English and Japanese) and interview at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology around the end of June and the beginning of July (dates will depend on which exam the candidates take).
