JETRO Business Mission Visits Kosovo (November 18-19, 2025)

On November 18 and 19, a Japanese business mission, organized by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and consisting of representatives from Japanese companies and other related parties, visited Kosovo. During their stay, they co-organized the "Japan-Kosovo Business Forum" with KIESA (Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency). Ambassador IWAMA delivered the opening remarks.
In addition, the mission and Ambassador IWAMA paid a courtesy call on President Osmani. To investigate the business climate in Kosovo, they also inspected key sites, including the "Kosova A and B" power plants, the "Drenas Industrial Park" and the "Rec-Kos" waste treatment plant.
On this occasion, Ambassador IWAMA hosted a reception aimed at promoting economic relations between Japan and Kosovo. In addition to the members of the business mission, distinguished guests from Kosovo also attended, including Acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, several members of the economic cabinet, the Mayor of Pristina Rama, and many representatives of the Kosovo business community. At the venue, stands were set up by the Kosovo wineries "Stone Castle" and "Bodrumi I Vjeter", as well as by "Hirano Mushroom", a Japanese joint venture company. Kosovo wines and various types of mushrooms, such as SHIITAKE and ERINGI, were exhibited.
