GGP Handover Ceremony for the School Renovation Project has been held (23 September 2026)

On 23 September 2026, the handover ceremony was held at the sports hall of the grant recipient, the Primary and Lower Secondary School “Dr. Ibrahim Rugova” in Municipality of Obiliq (SHFMU “Dr. Ibrahim Rugova” Obiliq). The ceremony was attended by Mr. Hiroyasu TANIGAKI, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo, representatives of the Municipality of Obiliq, and principal and teachers of the school. This project was implemented through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects.

Overview: By renovating the main building of the Primary and Lower Secondary School “Dr. Ibrahim Rugova” in the Municipality of Obiliq – specifically repairing the flooring in 19 classrooms, the walls in 25 classrooms, and the sports hall floor –, this project aims to ensure safety of the pupils and students of the school and enhance their learning environment, thereby contributing to improvement of the educational environment and the quality of education in the region.
