GGP Handover Ceremony for the Project for Educational Support for the Visually Impaired students has been held (14 July 2026)

On 14 July 2026, the handover ceremony was held at the facility of the grant recipient, the Resource Center for Learning and Consulting "Xheladin Deda" (QBMK “Xheladin Deda”) in Peja. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Hiroyasu TANIGAKI, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, and representatives of the QBMK “Xheladin Deda” as the implementing partner of the project. This project was implemented through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects.

Overview: The project aimed to improve the quality of education for the blind and visually impaired students with special needs from all over Kosovo by providing a vehicle for school activities such as field trip and for teachers to visit students' home along with a garage for the vehicle, and sensory rooms with educational equipment. The new vehicle enables teachers to visit children more frequently and facilitates students’ participation in educational, sports, rehabilitation, and cultural activities. The sensory rooms, equipped with a wide range of modern educational and therapeutic tools, offer a more stimulating learning environment that supports each child's development and well-being.
