On 11 February 2026, the Signing Ceremony of the Grant Contract to provide Judo training equipment to three Judo clubs and also the IJF approved Judo uniforms to the National Judo Center in Kosovo. The contract was signed by Mr. Hiroyasu TANIGAKI, the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo and Mr. Agron Kuka, the President of the Kosova Judo Federation. This project will be implemented through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Cultural Grassroots Projects.

 
“The Project for the Improvement of Training Environments in the Judo Clubs in Regional Towns in Kosovo”

Approved Amount : 34,800 Euros
Overview : The project aims to improve the Judo training environment in Kosovo by installing Judo training equipment to the three Judo clubs in Peja, Fushë Kosova and Mitrovica. This will enable annually more than 280 Judo athletes to receive safer and more specialized high-quality training to improve their technical standards. Furthermore, the Kosova Judo Federation will also lend the IJF approved Judogi to the national Judo team members who may have a challenging circumstance to prepare at own expense. This will create an environment in which the approximately 60 athletes belonging to the team can smoothly participate in international competitions.
