Opening Ceremony of “The Nashec Center for Child Protection and Empowerment in Prizren” has been held (18 October 2023)

On 18 October 2023, the opening ceremony of The Nashec Center in Prizren has been held.
Mr. Keisuke YAMANAKA, Charge d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo, Mr. Shaqir TOTAJ, Mayor of the Municipality of Prizren, Mr. Tomas SZUNYOG, EU Special Representative in Kosovo, Ms. Nona ZICHERMAN, Head of UNICEF Kosovo, Mr. Pajtim ZEQIRI, Head of Country Office of Terre des Hommes Lausanne Foundation in Kosovo, and relevant actors from respective institutions attended the ceremony.
The project “The Project for Refurbishment of the Nachec Center for Child Protection and Empowerment in Prizren” aims to provide needed protection and educational services for vulnerable children at risk of abuse and human trafficking as well as support for their families by rehabilitating the building of Nashec Center to become a child protection facility in Nashec Village, Prizren Municipality. This center is expected to protect 160 children and improve the support system for 70 children's guardians in the Prizren municipality per year.
