Completion Ceremony of "The Project for Supporting of Demining in the Municipality Mitrovica" has been held (8 June 2021)

On June 8th 2021, Completion Ceremony of “The Project for Supporting of Demining in the Municipality Mitrovica” has been held and the Charge d’ Affaires of the Japanese Embassy in Kosovo, Mr. Mitsunori OGASAWARA and representatives from the Municipality Mitrovica as well as the Norwegian People’s Aid attended the ceremony.
The objective of the project was to release land which was contaminated by cluster munition remnants, for the safe use of the local residents and the population surrounding in the village of Bare village, Municipality of Mitrovica. Through this project, almost 100 ha of land was released and 413 inhabitants are directly benefiting from the project by regaining the access
to the forest and grazing land for livestock farming.
